This is my worst nightmare.
I usually do review any site I buy from, but somehow I did not do this time. Their low price (lower than others with more than $60). I ordered Sony DSC-T100 digital camera on March 23, and received an email confirming my order.
Next day I sent them email requesting the time of shipping since I am going in my vacation on 30th of March and I told that and I requested with my order Expedited shipping (3-5 days). No response. So I called their phone number and waited 1 hour, and got sick with no response.
I sent 2nd email asking to cancel my order if it is not going to arrive before March 30th.

I called my bank and checked on my card charges, and the bank said: no charges yet on your account.
So I sent another email requesting to cancel my order and not to charge my credit card, since I am not interested in buying from them.
Minutes later, I logged into my account with B & H, and ordered the same camera with 2nd day shipping (using another credit card).
I should have done that before, since my experience with B&H is good.

My bank said that he can not block charges if it comes, but can dispute it whenever it shows.

Now I only have to call back to Wisetronics many times to try to stop them from charging my card and watch my card transactions very carefully.

What a nightmare

Update:
I tried to call Wisetronics on Sunday all day, but ten minutes before closing (6:00 pm EST), I received an email saying that I should call the store to verify information. It was already late, so I called on Mon (26 of March, 2007), and dialed ex. 203 and no answer, left a message. Dialed again and tried ex. 202, finally someone answered.
I told him that I wanted to cancel my order for the last 3 days and sent 4 emails, called many times and no one responded to my inquiries. As stated here by many other victims, the person who answer the phone does not say his name or saying an nice words.
He said he will check my order status and put me on hold for few min came back saying the order was canceled.

What a relief.

I ordered a Canon S3 IS camera. 2 days later I get an email saying I need to phone in. They pushed to sell me lenses. They requested my 3-digit security code. They said it would be 2-3 weeks (ad said 7-12 days). I called my credit card company and they said that they should not have requested my 3-digit security code and strongly reommended that I cancel my card and the order. I called back and they did not pick up my “hold” line in 20 minutes. I cancelled via email.

I got very excited when i saw their price for CANON ZR-850. it’s 100$ cheaper compared to the cheapest well-known online retailer.

i placed an order directly. after that i somehow thought about researching the review of the company(HUGE MISTAKE!). I was both surprised and worried about my order after reading the reviews.

the email finally arrived asking me to “confirm” the order, and as all the reviews have suggested, the merchant claimed the items to be out of stock.

Customer service was very rude, and not professional. i was actually relieved to know that the item was out of stock.

this is not a scam this is a unsuccessful attempt of robbery with low pricing as the bait.

I have bought many things from Tiger Direct over the past few years. My most recent large purchase was a refurbished Toshiba Satellite A105-S101 laptop I bought last summer. I got it for a great price and it has worked like a charm ever since.

My most recent purchase was a Brother MFC-3240C 5-in-1 Color printer/fax/copier. It has worked great and I got it for dirt cheap. I will continue to shop at TD.

Worst experience. I used to buy literally thousands of $$ of stuff for my business and my wife’s office. Many things with rebate. $100 rebate for HP Jornada never came (almost a year)though it was approved.

They were selling “unlocked” HP PDA/phones that were actually “locked” to T-Mobile. I found that out hard way after I tried to change providers. Tiger agreed (CSR Kerry) to pay for unlocking ($30), requested receipt. Faxed it to them twice. No credit. Now, they are giving me a run around.
I just removed myself from their maillist. Stay away.

Bait and Switch-Beware!!!

Ordered a 3 pack of software
was shipped a single pack of software.
Was told it was a “typo”. Not their fault-tough luck.
The ‘typo” appeared on Pricegrabber, Amazon and
TigerDirects own web page.
Was lied to by customer service at Tiger, CS rep
said I would be reimbursed for return shipping cost. Sent shipping cost info and was told
they would NOT reimburse return shipping cost.

Worst customer service experience to date.

Buy anyplace else and you will be much happier.

Upgrading my own ram was a new and challenging idea for me. The hardest part was finding the correct ram for my computer. Thank goodness I came across MemorySuppliers.com. They have tool that takes the guess work out of the process by easily locating my computer model and the ram it requires. Even my computer manufacturer did not have as much info available on my model as MemorySuppliers.com. They offer very competitive prices, and swift delivery. Their customer service was with me every step of the way, letting me know my order was received and the shipping info. I popped the ram in myself (very scary) and it works perfectly. They make shopping for memory online a breeze. I will definately buy my next memory upgrade from MemorySuppliers.com.

I am completely satisfied with this online store! There was an initial double order mistake put in by me which was handled immediately and expeditiously by phone. My product arrived earlier than expected but there was a problem, the 2 GB memory card I ordered for my camera was not correct. I called and the problem was rectified with complete professionalism and the proper card was sent out to me. I received the card faster than expected again and it works fantastically. I will definitely do business with memory suppliers and I am sure lots of my shipmates on the USS George Washington CVN-73 will also. Thank you memeorysuppliers.com.

I am handicapped and do 95% of my shopping on the internet. I receive tons of catalogs but the catalog I received from this company contained many unique items. I was so please with their offerings and service on my first order that I placed this order several days later.

Excellent customer service. I ordered a new notebook and received a phone call within minutes from Donald to go over the details of my order. He made great suggestions and was very helpful in answering my questions. I was told that I would receive my order in 5 business days, and guess what. The notebook arrived in 5 business days. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a new notebook (especially if you want one without a pre-installed OS or bloatware).

Ordered a Sager NP5760 from them. Had absolutely no problems at all. Placed the order on 2/21 and had the laptop in my hands on 3/1.

Very professional customer service - would recommend them to anyone looking for a “Power” notebook :)

To be honest, I was kind of skeptical of buying an expensive laptop from a smaller company. For weeks I did alot of research over the web and talked to many different people in many forums.

After finally making a decision, I decided to purchase a Sager NP5760 through Powernotebooks.com and I can confidently say I have no regrets whatsoever.

The staff at Powernotebooks.com were very friendly and helpful. I talked to them on many occassions about what it was I could expect to receive in purchasing a laptop through them. They patiently answered all of my questions and alleviated any of the concerns I had.

Ron worked with me alot and he was really great. Even though my laptop techinally wasn’t suppose to arrive until the Monday after the Sunday I had ordered it, the folks at Powernotebooks.com were able to promptly ship it out so that I had my laptop by Friday - just in time for the weekend. I really appreciated this and I can gaurantee one would not experience this with a larger brand-name company.

My laptop is really great - no problems at all. The most important piece of information I could give to someone who was considering making a purhcase from Powernotebooks.com is please do not worry - you will be getting an excellent product. I had the same “well I don’t know…” thoughts, but I can absolutely say that when you recieve your product you will delighted.

Keep up the superb work Powernotebooks.com. I’m definitely considering purchasing another laptop from them in a couple of months for college.

Order placed for a Kata MC-60 Camera Case on 3/29/05. Even though the website showed it as an in-stock item, I didn’t receive the shipment in a timely manner. When I didn’t receive a shipment notice by email, I called them. The guy was very polite, and said I should have the item in about a week. On 4/15/05 I got an email saying that the item had shipped and I should receive it in about 1.5 weeks. Odd considering it was an “in-stock” item that it took a month to get it. When I did get it, it appeared to be something of a “factory second”, and was missing some of the accessories. Instead of dealing with the retailer, I complained directly to the manufacturer, Kata, and they shipped me a new version of the bag from their headquarters in Israel. High marks for Kata, not for Video Direct.

Video Direct’s Inventory said “In Stock” so I ordered a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT on 3/18/05. As of today (4/14/05) I was still waiting.

They’re always courteous on the phone.

I called every week to check my status, when I called the third week, “Bob” said someone had cancelled my order that very day, which was untrue.

Two weeks later they say I’m “getting the first one which comes in, and the XT’s are still on backorder from Canon”.

I cancelled the order today.

Misled me about product inventory. Said it (Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT) was in stock. Then ordered from site and confirmation email said i should call the phone number listed if i “really” need it urgently. so i did. busy. for hours. finally got someone and they said it was indeed in stock and should arrive in 7-10 days. sounds great…
1 week later, nothing. no tracking number in email, no update, nothing. so i call number again. now they tell me they don’t have it right there but they have it in a “satellite warehouse” and will have it in a couple days at which point they’ll ship it–7-10 days. I wait a couple days, then call back. This time they say they flat-out don’t have it in stock. At this point i cancelled the order.
The next week they called back a couple times harassing me about having cancelled.

I tried to return a product to them because it did not fit like I assumed it would from looking through their details and using their web page tools. But, because their service department delayed responding to me for over a month it went outside of their 30 day return policy and told me tough luck and to get ahold of the manufacturer. Buyer beware.

I ordered a Panasonic RX-D29 CD/MP3 Boombox. I had email confirmation almost immediately after I completed the transaction. I had a question to customer service and it was answered the next day. I received the radio 2 days after order and it was mint condition and nicely packaged for shipment. This is the 2nd item I have purchased from Etronics and have no complaints at all. I will use them again for any future electronic needs. I used PayPal as my method of payment.

I placed an order for two lcd televisions on the 16th of December and was told they were in stock and ready to ship. After 3 days I called to make sure the items were going to make it by Christmas and they had not shipped yet so I canceled the order but Jonathan said that he would ship it 2nd day air so I waited. After two days I called back and still had not shipped. Johnathan said he would ship it next day air not to worry. The next day when I called the rep told me that it would not make it by Christmas because the item had not shipped yet but that I should print out a picture and give to my kids for Christmas!! I cancelled the order after verifying that it had not shipped yet. Two days after Christmas the tvs show up at my house so I refuse delivery because I had already cancelled the order and found the TVS cheaper at COSTCO. The items were still billed to my credit card on the 16th even though they did not ship until the 26th. After a week I called about the charge on my credit card and was told that it would be taken care of. On the 25th of JANUARY the charge was still there and Johnathan the sales rep was saying that DHL never sent them back. I called DHL and got the tracking number where they were delivered back to etronics on the 29 of December and that J Shirley signed for the return. So the whole thing was a scam and I still have not recieved my money they have had my money for a month. When I called back to talk to a supervisor like Reggie Singleton or Leo Landau I was put on hold 3 different times and then disconnected. If you read the reviews of this company that is a common theme with them. They get your money and hold to draw the interest. It is sad that they can stay in business.

Very good merchant. Ordered a video camcorder bag from them on a Tuesday and had it by Friday. Price was not bad and they even call me to verify that I was shipping to a different location because it didn’t match my billing location. Considering some of these sites that get reviews I would say that I am very satisfied with how I was treated.

After both ikitchen.com and chefscorner.com lied to us about having the Panasonic SDYD250 Bread Machine in stock - AND charging our credit card, only to send notices weeks later that the item was back ordered - abtelectronics.com came through. We received the product 4 days later with free shipping, exactly as promised. It’s a late Christmas gift but a happy ending. My first experience with ABT but I will use them again.

This was a Panasonice Microwave Inverter Type Oven which lasted only through about 4 or 5 brief usages before it smoked some and gave a burning odor and then never heated any item again. I consider this NNH665BK model defective, and was told only by personnel at ABT that I would have to call the manufacturer since it had been 35 days since the purchase. I only advice those purchasing from ABT to be aware that merchandise from them seemed of less quality than I had expected.

Apparently as huffy stated, I too chose the free shipping (ground) that was available to my product and when i clicked submit it was the overnight shipping! I called them up immeadiately was on hold for only 5 minutes! Very fast, the lady said the system sometimes messes up on costumers and this happends, she happily changed my shipping and gave me a 5$ off my purchase! Very fast and excellent work on their part. Their mistake caused my saving money. Now instead of being stuck with paying 22$ for a MicroSD card for my fone, I only have to pay $5!

Somethings going on here. I dont know if the lady was very nice but if they give order credits for their systems mistakes I know they cant be purposely tricking people into 2 day shipping. Or maybe they are. Oh well

We will see when my order arrives, so far Im happy of the outcome!:D

Purchased an Antec Solo cpu case. Price on the case was already below most competitors. With the mail-in rebate, the choice was almost a no-brainer, after researching reviews on the case. It arrived undamaged via DHL 1 day late, but I won’t hold that against DHL, since the scheduled delivery date was during a blizzard. It was still delivered faster than I expected and the shipping was free. Overall a great experience, that will only need modifying if the rebate process does not go well.

I placed an order for Kingston Memory with them and it never arrived. They ship via DHL which said the order would arrive on Friday Feb 9th. Waited all day and product never arrived. I called Fry’s outpost and they said it was already delivered on wednesday the 7th. I told them I never recieved this and they told me the DHL driver left it at my door. They started a claim and on called me back the next tuesday saying they weren’t going to send me another product because the DHL driver says hie gave it to someone at my house! Considering I’m the only one home wednesdays, I never got anything and now I have to file a claim with my credit card company to get my money back on this product. I will never shop at this retailer again!

I saw Acer Aspire 5102WLMi NB PC for $699 at Radioshack.com and decided to buy it cause it was a decent price for Dual core Turion processor laptop. Web site had description of this computer same as on Acer’s web site. On the next day after I submitted my order I went to their web site to check it, and I was surprised that description has changed to some crappy Acer Celeron processor (model: Acer® AS3690-2258) but my oder still had 5102WLMi so I was calm and realized that they just misspeled model and description on the web site. I still expected to get my Dual-Core Turion laptop, but instead I got this crappy Acer® AS3690. My order confirmation email, shipping confirmation email shows that it should be Aspire 5102WLMi NB PC but they shipped cheap Acer® AS3690 insted. Very, very, very bad and unprofessional service. I would never buy anything neither from Radio Shack store nor their online store and would not recommend it to anyone if you don’t want to mess with crappy and unfair service.

I placed another order on 08/19/2006, the item was in stock and I received it on 08/25/2006. I have placed several orders online with Radio Shack and have not had any problems. The items were in stock and were shipped quickly. The last order I placed on 07/02/2006 was shipped 07/03/2006 and it arrived on 07/05/2006 from Texas to Georgia. That’s not bad since it includes a holiday.

This is a long overdue review but it has to be said… I bought a couple of things from this company last year because they sell stuff that the other two big companies doesn’t have. I sent in a lot of rebates but I NEVER GOT EVEN ONE REBATE BACK! I checked the status online and NOTHING refers to my submissions. Oh, and POOR SERVICE too making me wait for a long time just to get help! I’d rather risk buying from online malls that waste my gas going to this place. The place is dirty and messy too. I thought they were about to close by the looks of their place! I’ve learned my lesson this year.

While rather infamous for their poorly qualified sales
staff, I figured a web site order was safe enough — what could go wrong? WARNING! Read carefully the rebate requirements and DO NOT buy if the original UPC
is required. Because then you have lost the ability
to return the merchandise to CompUSA if anything goes
wrong. This is exactly what happened to me. I sent
away for the rebate, the machine proved defective, and
so I shipped it back & bought something else from a
local store. Now they’re refusing to credit my acct.
Corporate sponsorship of rebate programs that invalidate their return policy should be a big no-no.
Do yourself a favor, stay away from this company that
cares zero about its customers.

Horrible customer service. They kept my money for 5 weeks before finally telling me that they are out of stock and won’t be shipping my item anymore. I really don’t know how they are still in business. I signed up just to give them the bad ratings that they deserve.

I purchased a motherboard from Buy.com on 2/17/07 and paid through google checkout. My credit card was charged immediately. Three days later they tell me it is out of stock. I check the website, yep the item is still listed as in stock. So I send them an e-mail the following day and ask for the status. The following day they tell me it is in fulfillment. So I wait two more days and send another e-mail asking for the status of my order. Following day they tell me the item is in the process of being shipped. So I wait two more days and ask again for the status. They do not respond within 48 hours so I cancel my order. Five days later and three more e-mails and they finally give my my $ back. What a hassle for nothing! I will never buy from them again.

I ordered a NEW Sony Ericsson W810i from Newegg for my daughter. I placed the order on a Friday and it came the following Friday. Since the order is for my daughter, I waited for her to come home and open the box herself. She was very disappointed with the product! The box was OPEN and dirty. The phone looks like it has been used already. It does not have a memory card like stated in the Product page in their website. The plastic covering the fone’s screen looks as if it was removed and replaced as it had the bubbles on it already. It was an unlocked fone and can be used with Cingular BUT it has ROGERS all over it. If I’m not mistaken, ROGERS is a Canada-based mobile service. I wanted to return the product but with the other reviews that I’m reading, I fear that I might just waste more time and money in trying to get my order corrected. My daughter needs the fone and this would do BUT it is totally an unacceptable business practice to send an OPEN BOX product when a customer orders for a NEW one!

Ordered the Sceptre X22WG monitor on Sunday the 25th, received it on Tuesday the 27th. This was before the planned delivery time!

Newegg is number one for this reason, they go up and beyond the call of duty to assure your satification.

Monitor is awesome! Been gaming on 15″ers way too long. Give your eyes a break and see what 1200:1 Contrast ratio does for your eyes.

Since I moved into a state where Newegg is, I now have to pay tax but, considering all the other crap other retailers do to you, it is well worth it.

This has got to be my hundred purchase with Newegg and as always it is a pleasure doing “real” business with them. :)

Have built many systems by ordering parts from Newegg over several years and never had an issue. Prices are always low, and even if not the lowest, it’s worth the extra couple of bucks because I know I’ll get good service. Recently had a slight issue with my order, but customer service was excellent and resolved the issue promptly and politely.

My order was processed and shipped, and arrived quicker than I knew possible. My wife works for a small online-based specialty retailer; and she was astonished that I received my order so quickly.

The prices and sales WoofersEtc offers are excellent.

Furthermore, I had a question regarding my order, once I received it, and the customer service was of great help, and completely willing to help and work with me.

They are doing a great job! They have definitely earned a customer for repeat purchases.

VERY VERY HAPPY WITH THE PRODUCT I ORDERED. i didnt get mine stuff for a week because, the damn box was behind a bush. thanks UPS. and they never leave it behind something. but Woofers Etc. Customer service is great. they gave me a call to confirm that it was me ordering it. i will be a future customer!!!!!!!!! ORDER FROM THEM!!!! AND CHECK UR BUSH’S!!!!!!!

Ordered a sub, amp, and a amp kit. Woofersetc called the afternoon after I ordered but I wasn’t home to take the call, I called them up the following day and found out I had ordered the wrong sub. They fixed it no questions asked and the items are still going to be delivered today on the 31th. These guys give awesome customer service, I will be ordering all my car audio needs from them. :)
