I ordered the Canon Rebel XTi for $769.00 (very good price). I paid $17.95 (very good rate) for 2-3 day shipping. I received the camera in three days. The transaction was easy and Beach gave me a confermation number and I received a FedEx tracking number. I would purchase from them in the future.

I ordered a cordless phone from this site on Saturday March 17th and knowing it was a weekend I didn’t expect it to be delivered right away, but on monday I had a shipment notification. The item was scheduled for deliver for Tuesday, and since I could not be there to recieve the product I missed the shipment. This is not the stores fault at all. Great prices and extreemly fast shipping time. Would do business with again anytime.

Ordered and received 50″ Pioneer Plasma TV (+ promo dvd player). Smooth transaction, both were shipped following business day (TV by freight and dvd player by FedEx). Distribution company, Manna, contacted me the following day to schedule a 5-hour window for delivery. Aside from the delivery being 2.5 hours past the windows expiration, all went. It is important to note that this seller is an authorized Pioneer e-tailor. If you go unauthorized, you warranty may be voided.

PMC Telecom is a leader in telecom solutions and has been for about 16 years with some of the top brands in the industry. Based out of the UK, PMC Telecom has many solutions for any need. The site is easy to find in the major search engines and the overall look is pretty sleek. The site lays out all the categories that the company has solutions for and puts them in a very easy to understand navigation bar. The colors of the site are easy on the eyes, which is good when it comes to product placement. PMC not only sells products, but they provide information to their visitors that can help them find the right solution. PMC allows anyone to contact them through various methods, which is a large plus when it comes to complex systems such as telecom.

A visitor can find anything they need to with the convenient search function at the top of every page. One of the good things is that the search function actually works and it comes up with relevant products if you search for them, as compared to a few other sites that we have come across. One of their most populated sections is with the Cordless Phones. The products are very well distributed throughout the page and the prices are great. One of the key points here is that each product page has a lot of information in order for customers to make an educated purchase decision. Not only do you get great information, but you have the security of a nice 14 day money back guarantee. This is good for customers that might not be sure if they purchased the right product to meet their needs. Compared to some of the sites that we have been to, PMC is easy to use and has the prices to match.

Great prices terrible customer service. Was not able to make a change to my order after two measly hours. Customer service rep told me she would call me back but never did. I had to call mononprice back only to discover that since package was already “supposedly packed there was nothing they could do to stop the order.

I have been very satisfied with the products and service provided by monoprice.com. I have only bought from them on 2 occasions and my experience has been very good with ease of ordering (online), prompt email notification, order status tracking and finally the quality of good. I will most certainly buy from them again in future.

Monoprice sells a quality HDMI cable at an outstanding price. Why waste $100 or more on a name brand cable? I used this cable to connect my hd cable box to my lcd and the effect was staggering. Picture and sound both far exceed those I got when using coax. Monoprice exceeded my expectations and I will definitely use them again and recommend to my friends.

I have been ordering from these guys from years and can honestly say I have been very happy with all of my orders!

My entire network runs using their cables! This one time I did not have any rope/cord :( and what do I see? a good old Cat 5 cable (25ft) - I used that to tie up my mattress… also used them at camping too… but do not underestimate - I upgraded to a gigabit cat 6 using these guys and it’s been smooth sailing :) you can shop w. confidence :)

Ordered 2 SATA II cables on February 22, 2007…received them February 27. Lowest price on the web with free USPS shipping! Smooth web order process and easy tracking! First order from this company and I am impressed!

My order was received on time & my adapter was exactly as promised. Works great! This was not my first purchase from this company. I did buy things that were D.O.A. in the past, and they promptly sent RMA info and replaced the item. I would definitly buy from these guys again!

For those of you who STILL doubt the ratings on this page - I genuinely confirm that this company is committing a bait and switch by providing the following facts within a 24 hour period.

1) Found Canon Rebel XTI body only for $279 on page. Was amazed but skeptical..
2) Called American Express to confirm that I am protected as a card holder. Placed my order through their web page.
3) Received NO confirmation email but an order number during checkout completion.
4) 14 hours later, contacted 1-800 number to confirm order. Here is the dialog:
Me: hello, I’d like to confirm my order please..
Richard (customer rep): sure thing sure, let me verify some information from you
Me: Ok. What information?
Richard: would you like the 2 hour or 5 hour battery?
Me: I don’t need any add-ons or accessories?
Richard: Why not?
Me: Because I already have the camera and just the body broke, so I need it replaced. I still have the battery and memory card. (figured this was the best response)
Richard: So…the items survived but the camera body is broken..wow..well..ok, let me confirm your order of $324 with shipping and tax. you will receive the item in 8-10 weeks. call if you need us.
Me: That won’t work. I need it for a shoot this weekend.
Richard: Ok, then, I have just cancelled your order and the card will not be charged.
Me: Thank you and Goodbye.

PEOPLE STAY AWAY!! These type of sites are the reason people are still worried about placing online orders.

Same story great price no product. I call sales team asked if they had in stock. They advised they did. I asked is it the $350 Nikon D80 they said yes. I asked to check the status of my order. They transfer me to Customer Service. CS claims it is on Back Order and that sales tell everyone that everything is in stock. 2 Minutes after the phone call the cancel my order. Typical bait and switch or purchase their high priced accessories.

1/29/07 3:00 PM
I am such an idiot for not checking this site before I ordered. I was so excited about the price, and read the site reviews that were all great. I ordered a Canon xti camera, and like others, was emailed a note to confirm my order. I called to talk to David Weston (”he was personally handling my order”), and was asked if I wanted a battery with the camera. Of course, I thought a battery was included, but said no, I had already ordered a grip that came with two batteries. I was then asked if I wanted the camera in English or Malaysian. Huh?? I cancelled my order when I was told the price for the English version would jump from $439.00 to $699.00. What a joke! I should have suspected - the price was too good to be true. What a scam!!

Ordered and “open-box” item, but was shipped a refurbished item. Each has a very specific description on their website. When I requested a return for a wrong item / incorrect description, they required _I_ pay return freight, and would not refund shipping.

I am totally satisfied with the service, and products that I have purchased from Zipzoomfly. The cdrw was a great bargin and the shipping was free you can’t beat that. Never had a problem in the past and I know I won’t this time. Great products, Great price. Buying a new case this week. Trust them I do.

this reseller is a rip-off.

i ordered a $1000 worth of stuff from them. my mobo was return for same only so i was going to do that since my mobo was acting up right off the bat, but i decided to ask for an RMA for a different MOBO. i was told that i would have my restocking fee waived if i ordered another mobo from them of equal or more value, which i i did. and i was told to call back after i did, which i also did.

i was promptly charged the rstocking fee. i complained since twice i was told that i would not be charged any restocking fee, explicitly.

i called back after this and the guy lied to me that he would call me back after any resolution either way.

dont buy from these crooks.

i stopped buying from newegg cause they opened a warehouse in jersey but after this id gladly pay the sales tax than pay these bitches.

i hate internet e-tailers that pull thewool over my eyes.

I received my 2GB SD SanDisk card as promised. It was a little late and shipping notification/tracking was very poor, but it did show up and was what I ordered. I did get a little nervous when I found, after my purchase, some very negative reviews on ResellerRatings.com so I ordered one from Amazon(it was onlt $4 more expensive through Amazon) Well the Amazon one showed up in a padded envelope. THe card was in the typical clear hanging packagong I would expect and have seen in stores. Great. The Flash Memory Store one shows up the next week in a smaller padded envelope with the card in a plastic bag inside in a case meant for an SD and Micro SD card. Thats it. No SanDisk packaging no card warranty info. Just the card and a simple invoice. I had to chukle. I’m just glad I got the right card, even though this seemed a little sketchy, and not a Q-memory as others have. I doubt I’ll order from them again.

3/15/07 2:45 PM
Wish I’d checked here before buying from these guys! Ordered a Kingston 2gb SDcard and received some 2 gbQ card that I never heard of . I looked online and found out that they are the only seller of Q cards. They do not answer emails or phone so no way to resolve the issue. Guess I’m stuck with something I did not want or order.

Same here: Ex stock was on hold for more than 10 days, ignored cancellation on their website as well as by Email, shipped substitute product 4 days after order was cancelled, substituted product even though it was clearly stated in comments, that no substitutes were accepted. Tend to ignore Emails, but had some responses, however not really adressing my issues. Will backcharge via my credit card company and I am done doing business with them. As a matter of fact, this is the second incident of substitution without prior information.

Very fast response. Extremely impressed how quick the confirmation emails were sent, and how they have links to track the package in the email. You don’t need to go to another site, you click the link and it tells you were your package is. Will definately recommend to my friends, and will do business again. Thank you very much.

I ordered this item on the Saturday February 3rd. shipped out on the 5th Monday! Received it on the 12th just like it have came. Perfect company to deal and plan on doing business again. Bought 2 12″ type r alpines and kenwood amp. Both are installed and work great

The service provided by HookedOnTronics was outstanding.

I had a different shipping address from my billing address and had to work with my CC company to add the shipping address. Well the CC company messed it up and the folks at HookedOnTronics worked with the CC company to fix the problem.

I received my order promptly as promised, in perfect condition. Thanks HookedOnTronics, I will be back!

The product that i recieved looked great. It is a really quality product for the price that i payed for it. I also liked how quickly i recieved the product. I will definately be looking back at geek.com for more purchases.

3/21/07 11:40 AM
I ordered 15 items. One item was not shipped, but I was charged for it. Their policy requires 7 day notice of shortages. I have e-mailed them three times. I have no responses from them.

Update:

I received an e-mail on 3-21 indicating that they would send the missing item. In that e-mail, I was asked to “retract” my ratings. If, and when, it arrives I will update this posting.

Final:

I received the item, and it works as advertised. I appreciate the follow up by the Geek CS people. I have made many purchases in the past and may still buy from them in the future.

3/16/07 6:40 PM
I have had 2 very good experiences with Geeks.com, and it is regrettable that I have to post this sort of review, as I am a fan of the products they sell, the prices of these products and the quickness of their shipping (same day delivery to my house with ground service — I live 200 miles away).

I recently had a very bad experience with my purchase of a sale item from them. When I ordered my hard drive from them, it listed in no uncertain terms that they had 8 left. The hard drive did not sell out until late that night, yet somehow my order is not being fulfilled. It may seem counterintuitive that I’m giving a bad rating since I was getting such a great deal, but the fact is that false advertising really pisses me off. If you say you have a total 50, and 8 left — then you should have 8 left and have started with 50. I understand that clerical errors happen. This is the result — an upset customer, who will not purchase any larger items from them again — I really like their stupid gimmicky ones haha.

It’s always a pleasure to order computer memory from Crucial. Their scanning tool ensures that the correct memory is selected. All you have to do then is purchase it through their e-commerce system, which is very easy to do. And; the memory is delivered really quickly. Brilliant service.

3/24/07 2:57 AM
Crucial is a brand that I trust. I went the cheap route before and ordered generic memory from a different company. Although, their service was good, the generic memory I ordered is giving me errors.

I’m going with Crucial this time because I know that their memory is top notch. I was pleasantly suprised that their prices were low too!

Two thumbs up for Crucial memory :)

3/21/07 11:04 PM
I have just ordered a RAM module from Crucial. Crucial has been recommended by many people on the Apple Disscussions Forum which is why I chose to use them.
It also greatly helped that they would ship to Australia as I have been having great difficaulty in finding a Mac friendly supplier here.
Can’t wait to get my module and fit it to see what a huge difference it will make to my current 256MB.

Be careful with refurbished items from eCost.com.

I purchased a refurbished GO Tomtom300 GPS from ecost.com. The original product in new condition comes with maps of both the USA and Canada.
The product registration card that arrives with the product shows “TOM TOM 300 - USA & CANADA”. The refurbished product did not have maps of Canada included with the product. I drive into Canada every day so this is useless to me without
maps of Canada. The CD that was included was for the wrong model (Tomtom 700).

eCost.com is refusing to exchange this item even though I’d be willing to pay the difference to buy a GPS with both Canada/USA maps. Their attitude is very callous.

Customer service told me I should have reviewed their return policy in the help
section of their website. They told me:
1) that refurbished items are not guaranteed to include any items that are included with the original product.
2) that I should have reviewed their return policy which they say indicates that all refurbished items are considered ALL SALES FINAL.

I’ve checked their website thoroughly and have been unable to find either of these statements. Only one reference to “refurbished” in all their help pages which states that those items are “constrained” for sales. When then run out, they run out of those items.

So every customer is expected to sift through the support area of their website, which has many broken links, looking for their their website policy on refurbished items? That’s simply ridiculous.

Customer service was completely unhelpful.

Super fast shipping! I ordered the Thermaltake Kandalf computer case on 2/19/2007. They shipped on the same day using DHL and I received it on 2/20/2007.

Horrible, horrible company and service.

I purchased a digital recorder for my father’s birthday/Christmas present. On the site it was listed in very small text “Recertified.” I didn’t see the text on ordering and was surprised when the item came in a plain white box with huge lettering “REFURBISHED” in both English and Spanish across the top.

Naturally I could not give this to my father as a present, so I called eCost and tried to explain myself. The robotic rep just kept repeating “We have a strict no return policy.” I tried to explain my circumstances but I could not get through to them. I asked for a supervisor and was told one would call me back but never did. I tried the same routine twice more, the last time I left the supervisor a voice mail telling them to call me back within 24-hours but they never did. I finally had to buy the item locally to get a new, factory-sealed box and sell the one I bought from eCost on eBay.

I will never purchase from eCost again, and I have advised all of my friends and family to stay clear as well.

Sold an item they knew full well wasn’t in stock. Received a backorder notice the day after I placed the order while the website continued to show it as “in stock” for a full month after. Canceled another order, then tried to claim I never placed it. Had to have my cc company reverse the charge. I never thought this would be possible, but these idiots/crooks are worse than TigerDirect. Stay clear!!!

Oh ya. If you really need to get screwed, ask for CSR Alan Smith.

I ordered a battery from Ritz using the Google Checkout scheme. This was a mistake. I have been buying stuff off the Internet for over 10 years, and Ritz Camera and Google Checkout is one of the worst checkout schemes I have ever seen. My order was shipped 3 months after I placed the order, and neither Ritz or Google gave me any notice that it would be backordered or delayed. 3 months later, the item showed up on my doorstep. I asked for a refund from Ritz, and they refunded me part of the amount I paid. All in all, they are unethical and dishonest and I will never do business with them again. But don’t listen to me, I have only spent a few hundred thousand dollars with over a hundred Internet companies, so what do I know?

1/24/07 9:36 PM
I ordered on a Tuesday and had the item in hand before Noon on Friday. I was worried about the experience after I placed the order and then saw this website, but I had an awesome experience with this company. I called and talked to customer service several times to check on the order and make sure it was going through and they were very helpful.

I ordered a Samsung LN-S3251D on March 8 and my charge card was charged the next day.

I e-mailed 3/17 (Sat) and heard from Toi on 3/19 that my product would be received 3/26 - 28.

Interesting, since I would have expected to receive a tracking number well before delivery.

Today, 3/26, I get a form e-mail from Customer Service saying it will be another couple weeks!

So I figure its time to check them out better and find the comments on ResellerRatings.com. I think the positive posts are probably posted by insiders.

So, I send an e-mail to them that I need a tracking number by end of day Wednesday 3/28 or I will contact Amex and reverse the charges.

Time to gird my loins. I’ve started to compile a list of places to complain when I cancel the order. It would be nice for a poster to put up all the complaint sites in a single post.

I did purchase a samsung tv back in Dec of 06 and had had to wait a little longer than expected for delivery but it was done satisfactorily. I recently had a minor problem with the tv and call TV Authority and they were very helpful with my inquiry and I was satisfied with thier response. I would consider buying there again

3/19/07 10:34 AM
Two weeks with no communication and did not hear from them until I said I was filling a complaint with the BBB. Never shipped product or let me know there was a hold up. Ended up cancelling my order because they couldn’t tell me when they could get it out.

I have ordered online from Dell for past two years. I found their shipping to be fast and priced very reasonably. Often shipping is even free for customers if Dell is running a special. I have ordered a complete desktop computer system and received it in 3 days from Dell which I felt was exceptional. I have always liked the quality of Dell’s products and their 30″ ultrasharp flatscreen monitor was absolutely superb. I only returned one item I ordered from Dell out of more than 30 Orders I placed in past two years. My return was for a graphics card that I never opened or used because I saw on the carton label that it was not compatible with my PC. I sent it back for free with Dell and it was credited to my account although it did take 6 weeks to be credited. Other than that one minor hassle with the time to receive a credit I have truly found Dell to be very good overall and also reasonably priced.

3/21/07 10:13 PM
I don’t want to be emotional on the reviews, so peacefully speaking, Dell’s service sucks. I Ordered a digital camera on March 17th. The confirmation email gave an estimated shipping date of March 20th. I was sort of anxious to get the camera, so I check the order again on March 21st. Guess what? The estimated shipping date has been changed to April 10th, and Dell doesn’t even have the courtesy to send me an email about it! One thing I don’t understand about Dell is, why do them confirm an order if they don’t have the product in stock? Anyway, I canceled the order. I don’t mind to practice my patience but I don’t like to do business with people who are rude and do not keep their promises. I have shopped at Dell for a few times and this time is the worst. I’m considering to make it the last.

Advice to first-time shoppers on Dell: If you just want to get good deals and don’t care about shopping experience, Dell is a good place to come over once a while. But if you do care about shopping experience, I sincerely suggest you to read the frustrating stories posted here and think about it twice. Don’t get your mood ruined by potentially bad service. There are better options.

I ordered a refurbished XPS M1210 from Dell. The price was great, about $500 less than retail. The shipping was free 3-5 day UPS ground, I got it in 3 days. When I opened the box, there was 2 AC adapters inside, a 65 watt and a 90 watt. After trying dell support… which was taking too long, I figured out that one of them was incorrect. If I hadn’t taken the time myself, I might have accidentally ruined my new laptop. I’m happy overall, but Dell still has some work to do.
